Mexico. Sergio Souza is the new director for the brand's display division, a relatively recent business unit that is in development for the next few years.
This division encompasses various products such as large-format LED screens, outdoor screens, immersive, 3D, digital posters, digital signage, interactive screens and of course, units that are stacked in the form of video walls for security projects, among others.
The brand notes that screens used in security projects such as video surveillance account for a little more than 10% of the business related to display technology, therefore, the plan is to take advantage of the growing needs of the display market in other sectors, such as retail, outdoor advertising, shopping malls, entertainment industry and sporting events. restaurants, among others.
"With Dahua's extensive specialization in video issues and the arrival of Sergio to the company's ranks, we seek to increase the positioning of the broad portfolio of display solutions, since it is a market with great business opportunities. Souza is an industrial and systems engineer graduated from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he also completed his master's studies. He has experience working with channels and has developed skills that help him lead technology transitions. He has more than 27 years in the information technology industry, having held leadership positions in companies such as Intel, Samsung Electronics, Unilumin and Hikvision, where he has contributed to the strengthening of the display industry in the region.
